Not A Contract Brew

Sometimes a business model isn't easy -or even interesting to communicate no matter how hard you try. But we've noticed in some of our (very welcome) press, people aren't getting our business concept correct. So this page is for the record, for those of you who are interested. We LOVE getting coverage in the media, so this is not in any way a slap on the wrist: we just want to state the facts here about our company, and what we're trying to do.

Pretty Things is not a contract brew; We don't own a brewery - we rent one.

Dann has been a professional brewer since 1992, and for those of you who know him, you've probably noticed that he's quite attached to his craft: hands on! We rent a brewery and the staff are fantastic and supportive: they look after the beer when we're not there, and they do an excellent job. But Dann is the brewer of these beers.

That's not to say that good beer can't be made by contract, as our friend Pete was quick to point out
