Welcome to Pretty Things Beer and Ale Project,
based in Somerville Massachusetts.
Dann and Martha Paquette brew Pretty Things beers. We are tenant brewers, working in a rented brewery, which we take over on brewdays. We do all the labor involved on each brewday, and our host brewery packages our beer for us. Dann is a 20 year veteran professional brewer, so brewing is not only a passion in our family – but our pastime.
Our flagship beer is Jack D’Or. Jack is the mournful grain of barley you can see to the left. He is the soul of beer, nature’s magician, creating sugar from starch and bringing together the Pretty Things to produce the substance we adore: beer.
With a great, gleaming moustache, knee-deep in a wooden mash tun, Jack D’Or conjures himself into beer. Helped along by the other “Pretty Things”, the mischievous hops and yeast – a magnificent fester will no doubt ensue! One of the most joyful transformations in nature, better than any rabbit from a hat, beer is the result.
Look up for info and below for our blog – we’ve got a lot of information on this here web site. There are plenty of nooks and crannies to enjoy. Enjoy the crannies!
CHEERS: While you’re at it, why not visit our other website, oldbeers.com, for our Once Upon a Time historical beers!
